Warming Glows
Do you ever just stop? Really stop.
Do you ever just stop? Really stop.
It was back in my childhood when I last got excited about a story involving mischievous rabbits, ducks and hedgehogs.
So, it appears this year I have done what a lot of people do and what I seem to do quite often. Bought more exercise stuff that I will probably use once and never again. Somewhere buried in the house are wrist weights, an exercise ball, weighted hula hoop, exercise bike…. hmm this isn’t boding well […]
No, I don’t mean anything food related……this time.
Bought myself some new bits and pieces to help me get back into things (as well as a new vacuum because I blew mine up) – these have to be my favourite, probably because they have the word ‘Bunny‘, I do love bunnies….
January seems to be the longest month. Combined with the cold, damp, waiting for payday, excess weight – it really is quite dire. But although it was supposedly Blue Monday a week or so ago, it definitely appears to actually be today!
I love yoga, don’t get me wrong. It’s calming, liberating and empowering. But recently, the focus for my physical practice has disappeared and I find myself concentrating too much. Do you lovely readers and fellow yogi’s ever feel like you are trying too hard?
Have you ever experienced the liberating feeling of singing out loud, at the top of your voice, when no one is around?
Oh my goodness. Indented toes, sore and crushed into shoes far too small (why is it so necessary to have shoes that are too small – how does that help?) The sting as you take off those shoes, pins as your tootsies come back to life, needles as you try to walk.
Why is it, when I exercise, the pounds go on rather than coming off. Ah yes, my good old friend chocolate!
